How to DIY Collar-Mic from broken Earphones

So you were playing on your pc or may be having a chat with your friends over voice or video on Skype or Facebook and something happened and your mic broke down. And maybe your device is out of warranty and not worth that much so you care to get the mic fixed. But you also don’t want to run out and buy a new mic or headphone right away. But you need a mic so you can communicate in your games or with your friends.

Guess what!? We have the perfect solution for your if you have a pair of old earphones or headphones lying around that you don’t use anymore and happen to have a microphone built-in. We are going to show you how you can take that microphone out of that earphone/headphone and use that to build yourself a really good mic completely from scratch.

(1)  The tools we are going to need are (soldering iron) (some wires) and an (old broken earphone with inbuilt mic).
